Position Title: | Engineer – Incoming quality |

Job definition: | · The Quality Control inspector responsibility is to inspect all incoming components in accordance with Incoming control plan / STD
· In addition to the sampling all incoming raw materials /ingredients. |
Scope and Responsibilities: | · The Incoming quality will examine components for conformation against Incoming control plan & specified standards.
· Responsible for arranging of labeling or tagging all components with a component Identification tag if components pass inspection. · Responsible for accurately completing the Quality Control Component Inspection along with supplier report. · Responsible of tagging (with a hold tag) and quarantining all discrepancy / failed /NC components. · Co-ordinate with SQIE / Purchasing / suppler for screening of NC/ suspected incoming parts inclusive of available in production processes / storing facilities · Co-ordinate with SQIE/ Purchasing for calling supplier and agree with defects and signoff MOM for the nonconformity observed. · Responsible for coordinating with SQIE / Purchasing for disposal of NC parts to supplier. · Revalidate the screened batch / Lot against the nonconformity to ensure defect free clearance for further processing. · Coordinate with SQIE/ Purchasing for the completion of 8D closer actions. · Record & monitor supplier PPM with target defined in the incoming inspection & report of trend and status periodically. · Ensure planning & participation supplier audits with SQIE / Purchasing, validate effective implementation of CAPA in place. · Monitor and update for recording number of defectives/ incidences / lots identified during incoming inspection. · Inform to department officials when percentage of defective components exceeds allowable limits, requiring inspection of entire unit output. · Responsible to plan & execute 3rd party periodic validation of required incoming parts. · Notify and inform all parties involved when a discrepancy is identified in 3rd party validation. · Responsible for updating and releasing of the QC incoming parts in SAP/Navision system. · Responsible for Holding and highlighting the non-conformance lots. · Other duties as assigned by the department. |
Knowledge & Skills: | · Good Knowledge of 7 QC tools & implementation
· Knowledge of ISO-9001-2015, IATF16949 & ISO-14001-2015 · Good knowledge in 3D drawings, PIP\’s, GD&T · Conversant with MSA & SPC · Knowledge in implementing 5S, POKA-YOKE, KAIZEN\’s · Conversant in materials Testing & validation · Knowledge in supplier complaint handling 8D, WHY-WHY & DOE analysis · Knowledge of conducting supplier audit & improvement Handling · Good Knowledge in material science & steel alloy elements & Testing validation |
Academic qualification with expertise: | · Diploma in Mechanical Engg. With experience with Incoming quality Inspection. |
